Career Transition Support Group
Sheyenne Kreamer, CEO and Founder of Triangle Solutions Alliance, Inc., will discuss “The Art of Creating Your Own Opportunity: Consulting vs. Contracting.” She will help clarify differences between contracting and consulting, explain key pieces to finding and landing consulting projects, and share tools and processes available to people who wish to explore this path. Sheyenne was engaged in multi-discipline project management in manufacturing before becoming a successful consultant, recruiter and speaker.
The ExecuNet Meeting is set for July 21 from 8:30-10:30a.m. at Cafe Carolina & Bakery.
The purpose of this meeting is to provide a forum for executives and professionals at compensation levels of $100,000+ to exchange career leads.
A roster of participants including contact information is handed out at the meeting. A complimentary resume evaluation is available. Recruiters are welcome. Dress is business casual.

Free resume and online job application assistance in the Computer Lab on Tuesdays from 4–5 p.m. and Thursdays from 6–7 p.m. A technology volunteer will be on hand to assist patrons on walk-in-only basis (first-come, first-served) with resumes and online applications.

Cindy Waite, president of Accentuate Staffing, will speak on “Your Personal ROI,”
an overview of the Triangle hiring market, recruiting firm perspective and discussion of ways to generate success. Before her 17 years experience at Robert Half International, IBM and Accentuate Staffing, Cindy was a CPA with a major firm. Her company provides a wide variety of clients with administrative, accounting, scientific/clinical research and IT professionals, and has received several Pinnacle and Fast 50 awards.

Career Transformations will host an interactive morning with unemployed professionals and Chuck Lotz, SVP, First Citizens Bank, will be the speaker at the group’s next meeting on Wednesday, June 23, 8:00 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall at Saint Andrews Presbyterian Church, located at 7506 Falls of Neuse Road. Chuck will tell the group about First Citizens Bank, how to apply and job openings.

On Tuesday, June 22, at our usual time and place, 9-11 a.m. in Room 301 of the Calvin Bldg., we will have as our special guest speaker, Paul Dean, who will discuss “Networking Your Way into a New Career.” Profiled in the May 23 News & Observer, Paul was laid off three separate times from Nortel. He’ll talk about how he began using tips from a book to start over, network and launch a new career, help found Triangle Networking Group and become an active user of social media to promote his career. David will present to the group the companies that Kelly Services works with, job openings, how to apply and future trends.
The Career Transition Support Group of White Memorial Presbyterian Church (WMPC) will host "Put Personal Branding to Work for You" June 15 from 9-11 a.m. WMPC is located at 1704 Oberlin Road, Raleigh.
